We seek to create a nurturing and
prayerful community of support consistent with the mission and vision of
The Threshold. To accomplish this, The Threshold sponsors Quiet Days,
retreat activities and programs of study. Each of these activities
provides instruction on the Benedictine Rule and the rule as adapted for
the Threshold, promoting the Praying of the Hours, and building
connections with the broader Big Bend region. Because we are all part of
Christ’s body, our parishes and churches are important communities for
each of us, demanding our care and our love. They are a living presence
in our lives, and the work of The Threshold is intended to strengthen
these communities of faith and not drain resources from them.
We, also seek to provide a setting for
students and clergy to come for ministry, contemplative study and
sabbatical experiences.
We seek the will of God and your prayers as
we move forward in this effort.
